Simply Jonathan

This is Simply Jonathan, online writing habitat for Jonathan Holst. In here, you may find content divided into three main categories: links, notes and essays. The links are to external content of interest; the notes are small thoughts and ponderings; the essays are longer, more thought-through entries, often debating a subject thoroughly.

About

Simply Jonathan is an¹ online presence of Jonathan Holst, a 19 year old Dane, residing in Copenhagen, capital of Denmark.

Technical

Simply Jonathan is running WordPress, with a few custom behaviours. Entries are written using Michel Fortin’s wonderful Markdown-extension, PHP Markdown Extra. It does not have comments because I do not like them.

Originally, Simply Jonathan was running a home grown Django based CMS, but in March 2008, it was transitioned over to WordPress, at the same being merged with holst.notes and Jonathan’s del.icio.us account. Now the contents of these three entities are stored in separate categories on the site.

Language

It should be stated that this site might come in two languages: Danish and English, where the main part will be English. Furthermore it should be noted that the author is not a native English speaker, and as such might mix up a bit of American/British English. Sorry.

Hosting and disclaimer

This site is hosted by my employer, GMTA ApS. It is, however, not endorsed in any way by them, and they may or may not disagree with me on every single issue I bring up; you would have to ask them. They have not told me.
